NDIS participants can claim bras, compression garments, and post-surgical supports under their Consumables budget. Learn what’s eligible and how to claim before June 30.

Make the Most of Your NDIS Consumables Budget Before EOFY
As the end of the financial year approaches, it’s important for NDIS participants to check their remaining budget for Consumables funding—and ensure it doesn’t go to waste.
At Leila O’Toole, we work closely with self-managed and plan-managed NDIS clients to help them claim essential support garments that improve daily life, comfort, and wellbeing.

What Can Be Claimed Under NDIS Consumables? If you are living with a disability such as Parkinson’s disease, arthritis, lymphoedema, or are recovering from surgery (including mastectomy or breast reconstruction), you may be eligible to claim:
  • ✅ Compression bras to help manage lymphoedema or post-operative swelling
  • ✅ Front-fastening bras for ease of dressing with limited mobility or hand dexterity
  • ✅ Soft prostheses and breast forms
  • ✅ Post-surgical recovery bras
  • ✅ Adaptive or pocketed swimwear
  • ✅ Foam inserts, nipple covers, and bra accessories
These products can make a real difference to your everyday comfort, independence, and confidence.

Who Is Eligible? If your NDIS plan includes funding for Consumables (usually under Core Supports), and you are either self-managed or plan-managed, you can claim these products through Leila O’Toole. We'll provide you with an itemised invoice and help guide you through the process if needed.

Why Claim Before June 30?The NDIS doesn’t automatically roll over unspent funds—so any Consumables budget not used by 30 June may be lost. Booking a fitting appointment now ensures you have time to select what you need, get properly fitted, and submit your claim before the EOFY deadline.

Why Choose Leila O’Toole? We’ve been supporting women across Sydney for over 50 years with post-mastectomy and medical compression garments. Our team offers:
